London, UK, 5th August 2025 – Environmental monitoring technology company WATR has secured a growth capital investment from 24Haymarket to accelerate its expansion and meet growing international demand for real-time water and soil quality data.

Founded in 2017, WATR delivers an integrated system for remote environmental monitoring. Its flexible data platform provides continuous, real-time data on water and soil quality - helping customers in sectors including river catchment management, agriculture, utilities, construction, fisheries, and environmental consultancy to make informed data-lead decisions to protect ecosystems and meet compliance requirements.

The new investment will support expansion of WATR’s commercial operations, strategic partnerships, product innovation, and international sales. Key priorities include scaling the sales team, strengthening operations, and enhancing marketing to accelerate adoption across existing and new markets.

WATR’s technology is already deployed across the UK water sector and internationally in Germany, Portugal, Croatia, France, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and most recently the United States. The business has experienced rapid growth over the past 12 months, driven by increasing global demand for scalable, accurate, and easy-to-deploy environmental monitoring solutions.

“WATR is delivering critical infrastructure and real-time data solutions at a time when environmental monitoring is a global priority,” said Jamie Dunnett, Investment Director at 24Haymarket. “The team’s technical agility and deep sector understanding position them to be a leading player in this fast-growing space.”

WATR’s proprietary platform is hardware-agnostic and cloud-connected, capable of integrating any third-party sensor. It supports a range of telemetry protocols including GSM, LoRa, and Satellite, ensuring global reach even in remote environments. Data is seamlessly fed to an intuitive dashboard and alert system, empowering users to act quickly and efficiently.

“This investment gives us the fuel to reach the next stage of our mission: to improve water and soil quality worldwide,” said Glyn Cotton, CEO of WATR. “We’re focused on helping customers make better decisions, faster - by making high-quality environmental data more accessible and actionable than ever.

This investment enables the business to offer the availability of ‘Flexible Ownership Models’: Outright purchase or Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) options.”

WATR will also invest further in innovation, continuing to develop its real-time sensing platform to support AI-driven insights, predictive analytics, and advanced integration with customer ecosystems.
